# Summer Games

> Summer Games (https://summer.games) is a store for games made by people like you, built in Summer Engine or any other engine. People play them in the browser or in the Summer Games app for Mac and Windows, with one Summer account for their library, friends, messages and parties.

Every public page also comes as Markdown: add `.md` to its address (the home page is https://summer.games/index.md) or request it with `Accept: text/markdown`.

## Connect an AI app

Summer’s player MCP server lets an AI app use a player’s Summer account: see which friends are online, message friends, invite them to play a game, compare rankings with rivals and open pages in the Summer Games desktop app. It signs in with OAuth, acts as the player, and can’t buy anything or spend Sparks.

- Server: https://mcp.summer.games/mcp (remote MCP over Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in)
- Claude: On claude.ai or in Claude Desktop, open Connectors in Claude’s settings and choose **Add custom connector**. Name it Summer and paste the address above. Claude then opens Summer so you can sign in and allow it.
- Claude on your phone: Add Summer on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop first, as above. You can’t add it in the phone app. Then open the Claude app on your iPhone or Android phone with the same Claude account, and Summer is already there.
- Claude Code: If you make games with Summer Engine, run its setup: `npx -y summer-engine@latest setup claude-code --yes`. It adds Summer as summer-games. Without Summer Engine, run `claude mcp add --transport http --scope user summer-games https://mcp.summer.games/mcp`. Then open `/mcp` in Claude Code and choose summer-games to sign in.
- Codex: If you make games with Summer Engine, run its setup: `npx -y summer-engine@latest setup codex --yes`. It adds Summer as summer-games. Without Summer Engine, run `codex mcp add summer-games --url https://mcp.summer.games/mcp`. Then run `codex mcp login summer-games`. It opens Summer so you can sign in and allow it.
- ChatGPT: On chatgpt.com, open Settings, then Apps (it may say Apps and connectors), then Advanced settings, and turn on **Developer mode**. Back in Apps, choose **Create**, name it Summer, paste the address above, pick OAuth for sign-in and confirm. ChatGPT then opens Summer so you can sign in and allow it. Which plans can do this changes, so check OpenAI’s help if you don’t see these options.
- Other AI apps: If your AI app can add a custom connector or a remote MCP server by its address, paste the address above. The app then opens Summer so you can sign in and allow it. You don’t need a key or a password for it.

## Make and publish games

Games are uploaded through Summer Engine: in Summer Engine Studio at https://www.summerengine.com/studio/upload, or by an agent with the Summer Engine MCP tools (`summer_export_game`, `summer_publish_build` and the `summer_store_*` tools). An agent never publishes alone: `summer_store_submit` returns a link the game’s owner opens to approve it.
